This Portland home remodel was designed to bring warmth, comfort, and a more elevated sense of everyday living to the spaces used most. Thoughtful updates throughout the kitchen, dining area, and living room created a cohesive flow while maintaining the relaxed character of the home.

Working with the original architectural elements, existing millwork, and kitchen cabinetry, we were able to thoughtfully balance old and new, giving the home a timeless and collected feel. Rather than overworking what was already there, the design focused on enhancing the home’s strongest features while introducing fresh layers that feel natural and enduring.

Soft neutral tones, layered textures, and tailored furnishings help each room feel calm, inviting, and refined. In the kitchen, refreshed finishes and updated lighting bring a lighter, more functional feel, while the adjoining dining space was reimagined for gathering, conversation, and daily life. Nearby, the living room centers around a detailed fireplace wall, creating a focal point that feels both classic and current.

Natural light was an important part of this design, with finishes selected to reflect brightness and strengthen the connection between indoors and out. Rich wood tones, soft upholstery, and subtle contrast add depth without overwhelming the home’s easy livability.
